CALL FOR STAKEHOLDERS INPUT ON STRATEGIC TRADE POLICY FRAMEWORK 2018-23

Dear Members,

Ministry of Commerce & Textile is initiating broad-based consultative process to formulate succeeding STRATEGIC TRADE POLICY FRAMEWORK  (STPF) 2018-23 for the period of five years, instead of three years, to keep consistency in the regulations & incentives. (A self-explanatory letter of Ministry of Commerce & Textile on the subject is attached for ready reference and perusal.

The scope of the STPF 2018-23 shall encompass issues pertaining to supply chain development, market access initiatives, trade promotion and trade facilitation. Further, the regulatory measures shall be simplified with the view to reduce cost of doing business and facilitate business community to avoid unnecessary hurdles in importing and exporting goods of their requirements and at the same time, ensure / address legitimate health, environment and security concerns.

In view of the above, members are requested to kindly provide necessary input / proposals for STPF 2018-23 on the attached specified format at (Email) latest by 17^th November, 2017 for onward submission to Ministry for formulation of sound, effective and operative STPF 2018-23.

We are also attaching herewith STPF 2015-18 for an overview.
