SECP's Presentation on LLP (Limited Liability
Partnership) and
Difference Between LLP & Firm
After enactment of
Companies Act 2017, in pursuit of its primary objectives, the Securities and
Exchange Commission of Pakistan has revamped the entire legislative framework
for the corporate sector which fosters Ease of Doing Business. Recently,
the Commission has promulgated Regulations for LLPs (Limited
Liability Partnership), providing the framework for incorporation of LLPs
and has also introduced online unified incorporation process, which enables
swift registration of LLPs.
In this regard, PHMA in
collaboration with SECP had organized an awareness session on 12-7-2018 at PHMA
House, Karachi on the benefits of LLPs and the incorporation process. The
presentation was focused on the benefits of Limited liability partnership over
the partnership firms registered under the Partnership Act 1932, filing
requirements and procedures under the new regime and conversion process of
Partnership Firms into LLPs etc.
