Subject: EU Commission’s Proposal for Extension of period of
GSP Plus Trade Regimes for Pakistan/ Developing Countries until 31 December
2027 under amended EU Regulation
Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturer & Exporters Association
(PHMA) apprise members that the European Commission in Brussels has placed a
proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council to
amend Regulation EU No. 978/2012 whereby the Commission has proposed to
extend the period of GSP Plus Trade Regime for Developing Countries
(including Pakistan) beyond 31st December 2023 extended until
31st December 2027. Consequently, EU Commission’s document/
Regulation dated 04-07-2023 on the subject is attached herewith for your
study and information
