PHMA – ILO COLLABORATION ON CAPACITY BUILDING

ONE-DAY WORKSHOP  to improve the workplace cooperation culture, improve productivity, reduce wastages and compliance to occupational safety & health at the workplace.

PHMA and ILO are partners in progress to create awareness and facilitate the Value-added Textile Exporters to enhance their exports to EU under GSP plus. In this connection, ILO  in collaboration with PHMA, is organizing a one-day workshop on “CAPACITY BUILDING ” for PHMA Members specifically from Small & Medium Enterprises in Karachi on May 29, 2024.

The purpose of this one-day training is to equip the nominated persons to improve the workplace cooperation culture, improve productivity, reduce wastages and compliance to occupational safety & health at the workplace 

 Senior expert from ILO will cover the following training contents in Urdu/English language:

1. Introductions and setting the context for WC & basic principles of productivity.
2. Importance of competitiveness and why should we comply with labour social standards.
3. Fundamentals of Workplace Cooperation with exercises
4. Involving everyone through 5S with exercise. How to conduct 5S audit.
5. Measuring Organizational Performance – KPIs, brief on templates for KPI monitoring
6. What are process wastes and steps to reduce it
7. OSH assessment tool in practice

PHMA strongly recommends SME exporters to participate in the event to express their interest in ILO Capacity Building program.

Please note following:

• ILO is  facilitating SMEs / members of association through this initiative having less than 250 employees,
• Staff from production/quality/industrial engineering department may be nominated who are leading team at their respective enterprise and would like to improve their processes,
• Full time participation of nominated staff is necessary to completely understand training contents and learn through various exercises.
• Attached registration form may be fill by the enterprise authorized person.
