As part of the Government of Pakistan’s commitment under the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights (NAP-BHR), launched in December 2021, the Federal Government has issued Guidelines for Federal and Provincial Organizations, outlining Proposed Action Points and Timelines for integrating human rights practices into business conduct. (copy enclosed – Pages 1-3). The objective of these HRDD Guidelines is to ensure that business activities, particularly in the private sector, align with responsible human rights practices. They provide a structured framework for companies to identify, prevent, and address human rights impacts arising from their operations and value chains.
