CERTIFICATION OPPORTUNITY FOR SKILLED WORKERS UNDER RPL PROGRAM BY

NATIONAL VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL TRAINING COMMISSION UNDER MOU WITH PHMA

Dear Members,

The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) initiative led by National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) aims to formally certify informal skilled workers and recognize the competencies of individuals who have acquired expertise through practical, on-the-job experience.

As you are aware, PHMA has signed an MoU with National Vocational and Technical Training Commission to bridge the prevailing skills gap in the industry. The MoU also includes key provisions related to the implementation of the RPL program for the benefit of our member units and their workforce.

In order to ensure effective planning and smooth execution of the program, we request all member units to share trade-wise details of their informal skilled workers who are interested in obtaining certification under the RPL initiative. The required information should be provided as per the attached questionnaire/format.

Upon submission of the required details, NAVTTC will assign a qualified Assessor to conduct the assessment of the nominated employees at the their designated location. All expenses related to assessment and issuance of certificates will be fully borne by NAVTTC.

Members are kindly requested to submit the details of their employees who wish to get certified by NAVTTC at the earliest, to enable timely coordination and further processing. Please share relevant details at tcs@phmaonline.com and for further information please contact Mr. Amjad Usman, Secretary PHMA/ Focal Person NAVTTC.

Your cooperation in this important initiative for workforce development and industry upskilling will be highly appreciated.

Best regards,

Khadim Rasool
Secretary General
