PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED BY MEMBER EXPORTERS AT PORT RELATING TO WEBOC / ANF / COLLECTORATE PREVENTIVE (NARCOTICS).

Consequent to the meeting with Project Director, WEBOC today, 28^th April, 2012, all such member exporters whose shipments are delayed on account of WEBOC system; Anti Narcotics Force (ANF); Collectorate Preventive (Narcotics) inspection of containers are requested to furnish such details to the Association to enable resolve this matter.

It has been reported that almost all containers meant for shipment of some of the member exporters are selected for examination instead of some of the containers and due to this and inordinate delays caused due to the inspection by ANF or Collectorate Preventive (Narcotics), the containers are not loaded on the vessel in time and the vessel sails away leading to great losses, Air Shipments and also cancellation of orders.

Further, members are also required to inform the Association, in case of any sort of demands are made by ANF Staff and Collectorate Preventive (Narcotics) to speed up the process of inspection of container.

In view of the above, to resolve such problems, all such members are requested for providing such details to the Association at the soonest for compilation and submission to Project Director WEBOC.
