DETAILS OF DAMAGED GOODS OR DELAYS IN SHIPMENT DUE TO CUSTOMS EXPORTS EXAMINATION IN THE LAST MONTH OF NOVEMBER, 2014.

DETAILS OF PENDING CUSTOMS REBATE CLAIMS SEPARATELY PORT-WISE AS PER ENCLOSED FORMAT.

Consequent to the meeting held with Chief Collector Customs Exports (South), Mr. Muhammad Nazim Salim; Collector Customs Exports, Karachi – KICT and PICT, Mr. Manzoor Hussain Memon and Collector Customs Exports, Port Qasim – QICT, Agha Shahid Majeed Khan at PHMA House, Karachi on 3rd December, 2014, and these officials have been very receptive and cooperative to the issues and problems of our member exporters discussed therein.

We regret to observe that despite our Circulars and reminders, members'/ their nominees’ attendance was very thin.

However, Chief Collector Customs Exports (South), Muhammad Nazim Salim further said that to facilitate the exporters the system of Customs has been made much better and uncomplicated and in the WEBOC System the Customs Exports Examination is carried out in the shortest possible time and minimum amount of percentage of containers are marked for examination. In case goods of any exporters have been damaged during Customs Exports Examination in the month of November, 2014, he should provide details along with Goods Declaration Form to the concerned Customs Official immediately so that the matters can be redressed.

Therefore all such members whose export consignments were damaged or shipment delayed resulting in shipment by Air during Customs Exports Examination in the month of November, 2014 or any issue related to Customs Exports Examination faced by them are advised to send all details along with Good Declaration (GD) Form; Photographs of Damaged Goods and evidence of buyers’ complaints to the Association at the soonest, for onward submission to the above officials.

Members are also advised to send details of all their pending Customs Rebate Claims prepared on their Letterheads separately port-wise as per enclosed format and submit Hard Copies to the Association at the soonest.
