ORIENTATION SESSION ON UNDP TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR GARMENT / HOME TEXTILE COMPANIES ON TUESDAY 8^TH MARCH, 2016 AT SITE ASSOCIATION OF INDUSTRY

We are pleased to inform all our valued members that United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched Youth Employment Project (YEP) for the poor and marginalized youth of Karachi and for improving productivity and competitiveness in the garment / home textile manufacturing industry (Project Brief attached).

In this regard, SITE Association of Industry, in collaboration with the UNDP, is organizing two-hour Orientation Session from 11:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. on the UNDP training programme - Master Trainer or Middle Management Training; Operator Training; Quality Checker Training; Production Executives and Supervisors Training; Merchandiser’s Training; Denim / Garment Washing Training for Garment / Home Textile Companies on Tuesday, 8^th March 2016 at the S.I.T.E Association’s Office, H-16 SITE Karachi. (The agenda of the event is attached herewith).

The purpose of the session is to introduce UNDP’s training programme and its associated benefits to the top management of the garment / home textile industry.

As the project enters its second year of operations, with more than 2200 youth successfully trained in different garment trades, the project seeks to increase its engagement with renowned garment/home textile industries, particularly in S.I.T.E. industrial areas of Karachi. Pertinent to the project model, we hope to gauge and seek interest of garment / home textile manufacturers and exporters in SITE industrial area towards the high quality trainings being offered by UNDP.
