FBR issues procedure for zero-rating on fuel - furnace oil, diesel and coal purchase

 

 

We are pleased to inform all our valued members that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued procedure to avail zero-rated sales tax facility on purchase of fuel - furnace oil, diesel and coal by the registered manufacturers of the five export sectors.

 

The members desired to avail of the facility should submit a request to the tax offices concerned. The tax offices shall furnish a report on the prescribed format and recommend approval or disapproval on the request within 30 days. Further Details of the procedure are mentioned in the clause (i) and (ii) of attached FBR?s STGO No.17 of 2016 dated 20^th September, 2016.

 

Zero-rated facility on furnace oil, diesel and coal will be withdrawn in cases mentioned in clause (iii) and (iv) of the attached SGO No.107 of 2016.
