SUPPLY CHAIN DISRUPTIONS FACED BY EXPORTERS IN THE WAKE OF RECENT HEAVY RAINS & DEVASTING FLOODS

 

Pakistan has been facing Natural catastrophe due to heavy rains and devastating Floods which has badly damaged the communication infrastructure (railways, motorways/highways) causing severe disruptions in the Supply Chain system. Reportedly, many consignments of Exports enroute to Karachi ports for shipment via Sea to abroad were damaged/destroyed due to rain/flood causing financial losses.

PHMA has already apprised this matter to the Federal Government whereby the Federal Commerce Ministry (Textile Wing) has requested the Association to provide specific details of Supply Chain disruptions being faced by Exporters in the wake of recent natural disaster in hard and soft form.

In view of above, Members are requested to immediately inform PHMA in writing with regards to their grievances and other problems positively by Tomorrow 15th, September 2022 5.30 p.m. enabling us to submit the compiled Data officially from PHMA to the Commerce Ministry. Kindly treat this E-mail as Most Urgent/Most Immediate.
