PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED BY MEMBER EXPORTERS AT PORT RELATING TO ANF EXAMINATION / INSPECTION.

Consequent to meeting with Director General, Regional Directorate Anti Narcotics Force, Brig. Abuzar, today, 23^rd October, 2013, all our valued member exporters are advised to send to the Association a detailed list of their shipments of last two months as under:

1.   Of shipments which were cleared and loaded on the vessel in time.

2.   Of shipments which were put on hold by ANF, where (i) the clearing agent was same (ii) description of goods; (iii) problems at destination (complaints of the buyer of damaged goods / packing due to which the containers could not be shipped well within time and / or shipment made by air.

3.   Percentage (%) of shipments put on hold at ANF; Customs Intelligence and Customs Drug Cell.

Members will appreciate that these details will enable us to discuss with Director General, Regional Directorate Anti Narcotics Force.
