HAS TO ACQUIRE MEMBERSHIP OF A TEXTILE ASSOCIATION DEALING
IN THAT PARTICULAR ITEM IN WHICH EXPORTER IS INTERESTED.
A LIST OF THESE ITEMS SHOWING NAMES OF ASSOCIATIONS IS ALSO
INCLUDED FOR THE GREATER BENEFIT OF EXPORTERS. MEMBERSHIP
TO THE ASSOCIATIONS IS A PREREQUISITE OF THE MINISTRY OF
COMMERCE WITHOUT WHICH EXPORTS CANNOT BE MADE. SUCH MEMBERSHIP
IS ALSO NECESSARY FOR EXPORT REGISTRATION WHICH IS MADE
BY THE RELEVANT OFFICE OF THE EXPORT PROMOTION BUREAU. REGISTRATION
WITH CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY, KARACHI OR ELSEWHERE
IS NOT A MUST BUT NECESSARY FOR BETTER BUSINESS.

IN TODAY'S WORLD PERSONAL EFFORTS AND RAPPORT WITH THE FOREIGN
BUYER HAS ASSUMED AN ALL IMPORTANT ROLE IN THE INTERNATIONAL
BUSINESS, WHEN PROBLEMS OF QUANTITY, SHORT SUPPLY AND QUALITY
CONTROLS ARISE A GOOD PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BUYER
BRINGS ABOUT A RECONCILIATORY ATTITUDE. HOWEVER RULES OF
THE GAME ARE FRAMED BY BOTH---THE EXPORTER AND THE BUYER---DEPENDING
UPON HOW CLEARLY AND FAIRLY ONE PLAYS. CONTINUOUS BAD SUPPLIES
NOT ONLY BRINGS A BAD NAME AND LOSS OF BUSINESS TO THE EXPORTER
BUT ALSO TO THE COUNTRY.
ONE THING A NEW CORMER MUST
KEEP IN MIND IS THAT A FOREIGN BUYER ALWAYS PREFERS THE
SUPPLIER TO MEET A GIVEN DEADLINE. HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT
YOUR OWN PROBLEMS OR INTERMITTENT BREAKDOWNS IN POWER OR
LAW AND ORDER SITUATIONS. HE MAKES LONG PLANNING AND THE
EXPORTER SHOULD ALSO DO SO. SHORT TIME PLANNING ARE THE
SHORT-COMINGS AND SHORT-SIGHTEDNESS OF THE EXPORTER.
BIG BUSINESSMEN HAVE NOT
BUILT THEIR EMPIRE IN A DAY. THEY ARE GROWN DUE TO THEIR
GOOD REPUTATION AND PERSONAL SKILL. THEY HAVE MADE SERIOUS
EFFORTS IN GETTING TO THAT POSITION.
EVERY NEW EXPORTER SHOULD
MAKE A TIMETABLE KEEPING ALL UNFORESEEN PROBLEMS IN MIND
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN BUSINESS.
